Jen the hen: "I'm Jen."

"Hello, Jen"
"What a nice hen."

One day she went to her den.

"Let's follow Jen.

Jen the hen: "I'm off to my den."

Jen looked in her bag for paper and pen.

"There's the pen"
"Where's the paper, Jen?"

Jen the hen: "Oh dear, it was in here."

Then she wrote a letter to Ken and Ben, the garden men.

Jen the hen: "I'm a clever hen with my pen."

"A surprise from Jen..."
"...for Ken and Ben"

Jen signed it and stamped it and gave it to Wren.

Jen the hen: "Give this to Ken. He's down in the glen."

"She's a champ..."
"...with the stamp"

Wren flew over the glen looking for Ken and Ben.

Jen the hen: "Bye-bye then"

"Will Wren"
"...find Ken?"

She landed on Ben and gave the letter to Ken.

Ben: "My word, what a big bird!"

Ken: "A letter for me. What can it be? "

The letter from Jen said to meet her at ten.

Ben: "...8...9...10. It's a log time till then"

A letter from Jen: "Dear Ken and Ben, Please come to my birthday party at then. Love, Jen"

Ken: "We're to meet Jen at ten."

"Is it just for you..."
"...or can we come too?"

Exactly at then, they all met in the glen - Wren, Ken, Ben, and a hen called Jen.

Ken: "Happy birthday Jen...."

"Parties are fun."

Ben: "...from Ken and Ben"

"Who's that then?"
"It's Jen the hen"
